We are reducing the cost of our existing course in preparation for the new course (don't worry your completion will be recognised by the regulator as long as you complete by the course expiry date).   Please note that conditions apply to this enrolment:
  • No extensions will apply. You must be completed by your course expiry date.
  • Should you be unable to complete the course you will need to re-enrol in the new course (there will be an additional fee). You may be able to transition some of the completed knowledge to the new course, dependent on the requirements stipulated by the regulator and the mapping of completed units to the new course.
If you want to start a career as a property manager then this course is the starting point. 

Once you have completed the course and registered with DMIRS you can then commence your career in either residential or commercial property management.

This course is for anyone wanting to start a career as a property manager.

Whether you want to work in residential or commercial it all starts here.

This course will give you the educational requirement to register as a property manager (a restricted registration) with the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS - the real estate industry regulator).

You will learn about the legislative, compliance and practical application of real estate as set out by DMIRS.

These nationally recognised units of competency are covered in the course and comprise a partial completion of CPP40307 Certificate IV in Property Services (Real Estate) CPP40307:

  • CPPDSM4080A Work in the real estate industry
  • CPPDSM4007A Identify legal and ethical requirements of property management to complete agency work
  • CPPDSM4011A List property for lease
  • CPPDSM4013A Market property for lease
  • CPPDSM4010A Lease property
  • CPPDSM4016A Monitor and manage lease or tenancy agreement.

To enrol in this course you must:
  • be over the age of 18
  • be computer literate
  • have numeracy skills
  • have a high standard of verbal and written English (you will have to understand and complete legal contracts and other documentation)
  • be a Western Australian (WA) resident with the authorisation to study in WA.

You will have four months from the enrolment date to undertake study, research and complete your assessments.   

The flexibility of our course structure means that you could be completed much sooner if you have the time to invest in your studies. We have had students complete in as little as four weeks. You are in control!

If your learning style isn't suited to a classroom or doesn't fit your schedule, the online option is for you. 

You will be able to start straight away and work through at your own pace (within your enrolment timeframe). You will still have access to trainers through our webinars and our support team are only a phone call or email away.   

All students receive access to our eLearning portal which provides you with a suite of resources including elearning modules, case studies, sample documents and links to valuable resources.

We run this course in our modern training centre with access to a full student support team as well as trainers and assessors. For those who prefer to study online, the team is on hand at the end of the phone or by email to help support you through your training. 

You will be given access to an online student resource portal, with examples of completed forms, documents and links to other online resources that will help you in your studies. 

We run regular webinar sessions to help you make contact with other students and with trainers to focus on specific aspects of the training course, such as document completion and interpretation of the legislation.

What help and support will I get while training?

If you decide that this course is not for you then you have the option of withdrawing from the course at the completion of Part 1 with a refund minus an enrolment fee (as long as this is within one month of enrolment).

The course is split in to five parts. Part 1 is a pre-requisite that must be completed before you can enter the classroom and gain access to the remainder of the course.

Part 1 is an eLearning module with links to further information and is followed up with an online assessment that must be passed within 3 attempts.

Parts 2-5 include a workbook that covers the course content and allows you to apply your learning by completing activities that will assist you with the assessment. 

You will also receive access to elearning modules, sample documents, case studies and links to useful information and legislation. 

Each part requires the completion of an assessment that must be uploaded via the elearning portal and includes the completion of contracts and forms. 

You will be allocated an assessor who will mark your assessments and provide feedback for resubmission where required.

How does assessment work?

Once you have been deemed competent, you will be given a Statement of Attainment showing the 7 units of competency achieved. We will advise the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) that you have achieved this award at the same time as issue of the Statement.

You will have up to one year from the date on the Statement to apply for registration and we recommend that you allow adequate time to both apply and receive a response from the DMIRS.

Once you have received your Statement of Attainment you can then apply for your certificate of registration with DMIRS. Visit the DMIRS website to find out more about this process 

Don't forget you must apply for your registration within 12 months of completing your course.
