Parts two to five, include a workbook that covers the course content and allows you to apply your learning by completing activities that will assist you with the assessment.

How does assessment work?

Once you have been deemed competent, you will be given a Statement of Attainment showing the 7 units of competency achieved. We will advise the Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety (DMIRS) that you have achieved this award at the same time as issue of the Statement.

You will have up to one year from the date on the Statement to apply for registration and we recommend that you allow adequate time to both apply and receive a response from the DMIRS.

What is a Statement of Attainment?
How do I register with the DMIRS?

Once you have received your Statement of Attainment you can then apply for your certificate of registration with DMIRS. Visit the DMIRS website to find out more about this process

Don't forget you must apply for your registration within 12 months of completing your course.
